The Kiwanis of Michigan Foundation has many awards that provide members the opportunity to acknowledge another Kiwanian’s generous service to the community as well as help fund the work of our Kiwanis of Michigan Foundation in support of hospitalized children.
Award gifts do not count toward club annual donations.
This is the highest award presented by the Kiwanis of Michigan Foundation. For a gift of $1000 to the KMF Endowment Fund, this award can be presented by a Kiwanis club or group to honor any Kiwanis member.
The recipient of the award must be recommended by at least 10 Kiwanis members with an article explaining his or her achievements in Kiwanis. This article and a 5×7 photograph is placed in the book of honor, on permanent display in the District Office. The recipient also receives a personal plaque and lapel pin.

J. Douglas Alexander Award
This award was created to honor J. Douglas Alexander, Past District Secretary of 16 years who was very instrumental in expanding the goals of the District and The Kiwanis of Michigan Foundation even further.
For a gift of $750 to either the KMF Endowment Fund or operational fund, this award can be presented by any group or individual to any person. The recipient will receive a plaque and a medallion. A brass plate will be placed on the permanent plaque in the District office.
J. Douglas Alexander Award: Diamond Level
Groups or individuals can further recognize recipients of the J. Douglas Alexander Award for continuing contributions or achievements by awarding the Diamond Level with an additional $750 gift to either the KMF Endowment Fund or operational fund.
Tablet of Honor
Any Kiwanis or community member can be awarded for their service in support of the mission of Kiwanis, with a gift of $500 to the KMF operational fund.
Al Dailey Award
KMF’s newest award, created in memory of former District Secretary Al Dailey, is available to honor any recipient with a gift of $250 to the KMF operational fund. The recipient receives a pin and a certificate.
